FAQs - Do you have thermostatic radiator valves?
23 June 2022
What does a thermostatic radiator valve do?
- A TRV (thermostatic radiator valve) can regulate the heat in individual rooms by controlling the flow of hot water through your radiator.
- Adjusting your TRV to a lower setting can reduce your energy bills.
- Part 1 of the building regulations says that you should have TRVs fitted onto your radiators when having a new boiler installed. They can be installed later in the process.
- If you do have a TRV fitted in the same room as where your thermostat is sited, then this will need to be removed and a lock shield will need to be fitted in it's place.
